Heidi Donohue started her career in education as a NYC Teaching Fellow in East Harlem 16 years ago as a first grade ICT teacher. She has experience in public, independent, and charter school settings as a teacher and leader of Early Childhood and Special Education primarily working with Kindergarten through fifth grade. Most recently, Heidi was a school leader at a charter school network in Brooklyn directing its lower elementary school. Prior to this work, Heidi was Special Education Coordinator and a teacher in a variety of Special and General Education settings. She believes that consistent feedback and modeling are key in seeing rapid growth from teachers and students. Heidi holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Wheaton College and an M.A. in Childhood Special Education from Hunter College.
