Jen Gleason has been an educational consultant with Teaching Matters for over eight years. She is focused on empowering teachers to lead in their schools. She works with teacher leaders to develop their expertise to lead professional learning communities and builds their capacity to use data to drive decision making at their schools. Jen is also a member of the program design team, responsible for developing our competency based micro-credentials. Jen began her career as a software engineer at IBM, where she developed and tested enterprise software. In addition, Jen worked for the Buck Institute for Education as an Education Pioneer Fellow and taught technology and robotics in middle schools in NYC. She earned an MA in Education from Columbia University Teachers College and holds a BS in Computer Science from Binghamton University.
