
Emma Ershow is a Senior Educational Consultant at Teaching Matters with expertise in elementary mathematics. She supports school leaders and classroom teachers in developing standards-aligned curriculum, delivering rigorous instruction using research-based techniques, and analyzing data to strategically address students’ needs at different levels. Emma also has extensive experience leading teacher teams and facilitating practice-based professional development sessions.
Prior to joining Teaching Matters, Emma was a teacher at a high performing elementary school in the Bronx. She then went on to become a founding member, instructional coach, and school administrator at a new elementary school in Brooklyn, where over 80% of students in testing grades, achieved a score of “proficient” or “advanced” on both ELA and math exams. Emma earned a bachelor’s degree in Social & Cultural Analysis from NYU and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and K-6 Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education.
