
Dr. Rebecca Gadd is a Senior Educational Consultant at Teaching Matters who believes that every child is brilliant and is deserving of teachers who nurture their brilliance. She has over 15 years of experience as a classroom teacher, teacher educator, district administrator, school leader, and researcher. She focuses on supporting teachers to develop, transform, and enact practice in ways that disrupt educational inequity and promote justice for students who have historically been most neglected and harmed by the educational system. She has expertise in middle grades special education, literacy (reading and writing) instruction and intervention, project-based learning, social-emotional learning and development, and teacher leadership.
Rebecca earned her Ph.D in Educational Studies from the University of Michigan, her Master’s of Science in Special Education from Hunter College, and her BA in English and Religious Studies from New York University.
