
Ryen A. Jackson is a Math Educational Consultant at Teaching Matters. She has studied, embodied, and demonstrated the art of teaching and learning mathematics through differentiation involving manipulatives, mathematical standards, culturally responsive pedagogy, and emerging technologies. As an educational consultant since 2017, Ryen has coached educators in providing blended learning demos that model the sustainable student-led environments needed for students to construct viable arguments, attend to precision, and become more academically, culturally, and socially proficient in thinking abstractly and quantitatively. Ryen began and sustained her career as a resourceful and innovative instructional designer and curriculum consultant for RJ Consulting Math LLC, RJ Academy, and MidSchoolMath, a math leader and consultant for Knowledgehook, Nassau/Eastern/Western Boces and an Adjunct Professor at Long Island University Post. She earned a BA in Mathematics from Long Island University Post, an MS in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technologies from Suny Albany University, and is a doctoral candidate for EdD in E-Learning at Northcentral University.
