
Tonya L. White has over 35 years of dedicated experience in the field of teaching and learning, with a steadfast commitment to ensuring literacy proficiency for all students. With an extensive experience in education, Tonya began her career as an early childhood classroom teacher in New York City Public Schools, where she taught for 11 years before advancing to leadership roles. Tonya has held positions of Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal/Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Principal, Executive Director of Early Childhood Education, and Educational Consultant. Her work spans public, charter, and private/parochial schools in New York City and the surrounding Tri-State region. Passionate about supporting schools, Tonya values partnerships that promote educational equity and foster academic excellence for every student. Tonya holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Rutgers University, a Master of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from C.U.N.Y @ City College, and an Advanced Certification in School Administration & Supervision from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. Tonya is a native New Yorker and currently lives with her husband in Riverdale, Bronx. When not in schools, Tonya enjoys spending time with the her grandchildren, Marley and Marlon.
