Alexandra (Ali) Foglia

Ali Foglia is a Senior Educational Consultant at Teaching Matters, with over 10 years of experience in elementary education and data-driven instruction. Before joining Teaching Matters, Ali was a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in schools throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. After teaching 1st, 3rd and 4th grade, she moved into leadership roles, where she supported and developed teachers in order to improve instructional practices. Ali’s experiences in the classroom and as an administrator have fueled her passion for educational equity and high-quality learning. 

Ali holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Linguistics from the University of Vermont and a Master’s in Education from Brooklyn College.
