Allan Madrid is a Senior Education Consultant focusing on leadership, literacy, and equity. He has developed and facilitated professional learning for educators across the country and has partnered with schools and nonprofits to advance equitable learning outcomes in communities of color.
Allan brings nearly 18 years of experience in education. He has served as an administrator for middle schools in South Los Angeles and New York City. Allan began his career as an 8th- and 9th-grade English/Language Arts teacher in L.A., where he sought to invest students in becoming lifelong readers and consistently saw them make unprecedented gains in their literacy. Allan also spent a year teaching English to students in the Dominican Republic.
Allan earned a master’s from UCLA in Educational Leadership and a bachelor’s in journalism from Northwestern University.
