Antoinette Kane is an educational leadership consultant with over a decade of experience
supporting instructional improvement across public, charter, and nonprofit education
settings. She currently serves as an Educational Consultant with Teaching Matters, where
she facilitates professional learning and instructional coaching for teachers, instructional
leaders, and district teams across the New York City and tri-state area. She also partners
with New York City Public Schools to support implementation of NYC Reads, strengthening
Tier I instruction, MTSS, curriculum implementation, and instructional coherence.
Previously, Antoinette founded and served as Executive Director and Head of School of
Little Water Preparatory Charter School, a SUNY-authorized K–5 public charter school in
Poughkeepsie, New York. She led the school’s academic, instructional, operational, and
strategic vision from planning through implementation. Under her instructional leadership,
students outperformed both the local district and the New York State average in English
Language Arts and Mathematics during the school’s first year of New York State testing.
Earlier in her career, Antoinette served as a teacher, instructional coach, and grade-level
leader within high-performing charter school networks, where her students achieved 100%
proficiency in both English Language Arts and Mathematics on New York State
assessments. She holds a Master of Science in Education from Touro University and a
Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bard College. Antoinette’s expertise includes K–8 English
Language Arts, K–5 Mathematics, instructional leadership, professional learning facilitation,
curriculum implementation, Science of Reading, MTSS, instructional coaching, and school
improvement planning. She is passionate about partnering with educators and school
leaders to build sustainable instructional systems that improve teaching, learning, and
outcomes for all students.
