Asif Chayan is a lifelong New Yorker and dedicated STEM educator with eight years of teaching experience across various charter schools in Brooklyn. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Hunter College.
Throughout his career, Asif has taught a variety of STEM subjects and grade levels, using his background in computer science to make learning engaging, relevant, and accessible to students. After eight years in the classroom, he is now beginning his first year as an instructional coach, supporting teachers in strengthening their instructional practice, increasing rigor, and using data to improve student outcomes.
Outside of education, Asif is a proud lifelong New Yorker and an avid fan of the New York Knicks and New York Mets. He enjoys staying connected to the city and its vibrant culture while continuing to grow as an educator and coach.
