Ava Marron

Ava Marron is a proud New Jersey native who has worked in education in America and abroad for 17 years. She graduated from Washington University in St Louis with a Bachelor’s Degree in African and Middle Eastern History. Ava started her career as an Occupational Therapist Assistant and that led her to pursue a Masters Degree in Special Education at Fordham University. She taught and coached Special Education Humanities and Math courses in Harlem and the Bronx for many years. In 2016, Ava moved to Brooklyn to be a Humanities Academic Dean and Advanced Placement Program Director. She has also consulted with school leaders and teachers in Uganda, Kenya, Abu Dhabi, India and London. Ava’s passion for travel and supporting youth in the Global South has brought her to 50+ countries. Ava is currently pursuing an Advanced Professional Certificate in International Development and Education at New York University. She also enjoys meditation, salsa dancing, pitbulls and writing poetry.
