Helen Huang is an experienced early childhood educator and curriculum leader with a strong commitment to advancing equity and excellence in instruction. As an Educational Consultant with Teaching Matters, Helen supports teachers and school leaders across New York City in developing and implementing rigorous, culturally responsive literacy practices aligned to Common Core standards.
With over a decade of experience in early childhood education, Helen has served in leadership roles where she designed and led professional development, coached educators, and built developmentally appropriate, data-informed instructional programs. Her background includes curriculum design, instructional coaching, and strategic support for both general education and special populations, including English Language Learners.
Helen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education with a concentration in Mathematics, and a Master’s degree in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology. She brings a unique lens that bridges academic rigor with play-based, student-centered learning. She is passionate about empowering educators, fostering inclusive classroom environments, and supporting systems that nurture every child’s voice and potential.”
