Jade Jenkins is a passionate and dedicated educator with over a decade of experience in empowering students, families, and communities of color. With a background in secondary mathematics education and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, Jade has successfully taught and developed innovative math curricula at various educational institutions, including KIPP Infinity Middle School and Harlem Children’s Zone. At KIPP, she adapted 6th-grade math content for both Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) and general education classes, developed region-wide instructional resources, and led initiatives to foster an inclusive school culture. Jade’s strategic approach to education is underscored by her ability to analyze data, coach new teachers, and coordinate school-wide events, all while maintaining strong communication with families.
In addition to her teaching roles, Jade has served as a math professor and directed an after-school tutoring program, where she recruited, trained, and mentored peer tutors. She has been a Master Teacher with Math for America for five years. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from North Carolina A&T State University and City College respectively.
