Jamina Sanchez is the Associate Director of Operations at Teaching Matters, where she leads cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes, optimize program delivery, and strengthen operational infrastructure across the organization. With a strong foundation in project management and strategic execution, Jamina brings over a decade of experience driving impactful work in the education sector.

She began her career at the New York State Education Department (NYSED), where she worked in the Project Management Office (PMO) on large-scale, statewide education reform initiatives. Her leadership on the Race to the Top grant helped shape critical improvements in public education systems, ensuring alignment with ambitious state and federal goals.

Jamina later joined NWEA’s Strategy and Innovation team, managing cutting-edge initiatives such as a game-based science assessment developed in partnership with Roblox—demonstrating her ability to blend innovation with educational equity.

Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to educational equity and improving outcomes for students across New York City.
