With over a decade of dedicated service to the field of education, Jessica Sutherland embarked on an inspiring journey that began as a teacher and ultimately led her to the role of an Academic Director. Throughout this remarkable voyage, her unwavering commitment to fostering the growth and development of students and educators alike has been her driving force. 

Starting her career as a teacher, she had the privilege of directly impacting students’ lives, nurturing their curiosity and igniting the spark of knowledge. As her journey progressed, Jessica transitioned into the role of Academic Director, a position that allowed her to shift her focus from teaching students to coaching and supporting fellow educators. This transition has been uniquely rewarding, as it’s enabled her to share her wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion with those who shape young minds. 

One of her proudest achievements has been her ability to build trust and collaboration among various stakeholders in the educational community. By working closely with administrators, teachers, and parents, Jessica facilitated open dialogue, identified instructional priorities, and cultivated a sense of urgency and responsibility. The result? An astonishing 85% of K-5 students have reached or exceeded their English Language Arts (ELA) growth goals, a testament to the power of collective effort in achieving educational excellence.

At the heart of her philosophy as an educator is the unwavering belief that relationships are at the core of enhancing student learning. Jessica recognizes that effective collaboration, communication, and understanding among all stakeholders are the keys to unlocking each student’s full potential. It’s not just about educating children; it’s about creating an environment where they can thrive and flourish.
