Julie Yankowitz is a Senior Educational Consultant at Teaching Matters with expertise in elementary language and literacy education. With nearly thirty years of experience in teaching and leadership across both local and international schools, she is dedicated to enhancing instructional practices, mentoring educators, and creating environments that promote the academic success and holistic development of all students. Before joining Teaching Matters, Julie served on the leadership team at an independent school in New York City, where she led a team of educators and played a key role in developing and overseeing the school’s language immersion program. She has also presented at several prominent language immersion conferences, sharing her insights and best practices with educators from around the world. 

Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from the State University of New York at Oswego, a Master of Science in Language and Literacy Education from Walden University, and an Advanced Certificate in Dual Language & Immersion from the University of Minnesota. Her strong academic background and experience 

underpins her expertise in literacy and language education, making her an invaluable resource for both educators and students.
