Leigh Ann Fantoni is a Senior Educational Consultant for Teaching Matters with an expertise in Early Literacy instruction.
Prior to joining Teaching Matters, Leigh Ann served as a Teacher, Instructional Dean, and Assistant Principal for Charter schools in Brooklyn, NY, and Trenton, NJ. As an Assistant Principal and Instructional Dean, Leigh Ann successfully developed teachers by consistently modeling best practices, providing effective feedback, and leading professional development seminars targeting areas of improvement. In addition, Leigh Ann helped teachers analyze data to inform instructional decisions, ultimately leading to improved student outcomes. Leigh Ann is passionate about building early literacy skills in young learners knowing that reading can drive our students’ academic success. Leigh Ann holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Lehigh University.
