Maria is an Associate Director of Partnerships at Teaching Matters, with more than 20 years of experience supporting multilingual learners and helping ensure they have access to high-quality instructional materials, technology, and professional services. She began her career in the Bronx, where she developed a deep belief that every child deserves a quality education, regardless of their zip code.
Today, as a mother of three daughters in NYC public schools, Maria brings both personal and professional passion to her work. She is committed to advocating for the support teachers and students need to thrive and believes that meaningful, lasting change happens within the safe, supportive, and transformative spaces of schools.
