Meredith Schrader is a Senior Educational Consultant for Teaching Matters with a passion for teacher coaching in mathematics and ELA. She is passionate about education and supporting students to think creatively and flexibly as they solve real-world problems. Meredith earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, grades 1-6 from Teachers College, Columbia University. She also completed a year-long program in instructional leadership and action-research through New Leaders in New York City. Meredith has taught in New York public and charter schools for over a decade, serving as a grade team leader in both general and special education classrooms at VOICE Charter School in Queens, NY. In this role, she led teacher teams, designed and facilitated professional learning, and coached new teachers on deepening their content knowledge. After her years of classroom teaching, she worked as a literacy coach at Iona Preparatory School, supporting reading instruction in grades K-5. In her free time, Meredith enjoys spending time out-of-doors with her husband, two children, and her dog. She loves reading and learning.
