Nathalie Elivert spent nearly a decade as an English Language Arts teacher with the New York City Department of Education, where she designed and delivered rigorous, inclusive instruction for diverse learners. She later served as a Humanities Department Chair providing academic leadership and driving cross-departmental collaboration and in 2018, she transitioned to educator preparation in higher ed. Since then she has held numerous roles preparing and developing teachers including Senior Professor of licensure exam preparation curriculum design. Alongside her service to teacher candidates, Nathalie has served as a mentor and educational coach. She is also a published scholar whose work explores teacher development and self-efficacy, as well as a volunteer mediator for a community mediation center.

Nathalie earned her B.A. in English and Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought from Amherst College, her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, and her M.S. in Adolescent Education from Pace University. She holds New York State professional certification in English Language Arts (7–12) and advanced certifications in mediation, including divorce, custody/visitation, and civil dispute resolution. Most recently, she has been credentialed in AI Tool Design and Prompt Engineering for Educators, advancing her work at the intersection of pedagogy and emerging technology, and she continues to consult on projects that connect education, justice, and organizational strategy.
