Nicole Dominique is an Associate Director of Programs. In this role she leads a team of consultants to support instructional leads, teachers, and school leaders as they foster learning environments where all students learn at high levels. Prior to this role she was a Senior Educational Consultant at Teaching Matters. As a Senior Educational Consultant, Nicole focused on K-2 early literacy and was a part of our JumpStart program. One of her driving goals is to ensure all students are equipped with access to the best education possible. Her passion for pushing herself and all those she works with has allowed her to reach tremendous outcomes during her time in education. Working in education for over 10 years in urban, public schools, Nicole has served in a range of roles including elementary school teacher, elementary school summer coordinator, elementary school assistant principal, and K-4 Principal in Residence. She believes in using culturally responsive sustaining practices, both for academics and behaviors, as the foundation of her work, to close the achievement gap in urban education.
She is a native New Yorker and received her BA from Syracuse University as well as her MS from Relay for Education with a dual focus in Elementary Education and Special Education.
