Additionally, she leverages data-driven instruction to guide both short- and long-term educational decisions. Before joining Teaching Matters, Nicole was a school leader at a charter school in Queens, NYC, where she spent a decade, initially as an assistant principal before advancing to the role of principal. Prior to her time in the charter school system, Nicole spent ten years with the NYC DOE as a classroom teacher and literacy coach. Her experience includes curriculum development, leading professional development workshops, and steering schools through multiple charter renewals.
