
Nicole Shields is a Senior Education Consultant with more than 20 years of education experience. Nicole’s love for teaching spans from teaching children to adults. Nicole has been a math staff developer serving public, charter, and independent schools across the New York metro area for ten years. As a staff developer, she has worked with teachers and school leaders to enhance content knowledge and instructional methods to support student learning in mathematics. Prior to being a staff developer, Nicole was a classroom teacher for ten years with New York City public schools. There she served as a grade leader, an ICT co-teacher, an RTI teacher, and new teacher mentor. Nicole has been an adjunct professor at Hunter College, Touro University, and currently at The City College of New York within teacher education programs.
Nicole holds a Masters Degree in Teaching from Fordham University and her Literacy Specialists certification from The College of Saint Rose.
