Tracey Sauray is a Senior Educational Consultant with Teaching Matters, bringing over a decade of experience as an instructional leader, coach, and classroom teacher. She specializes in literacy, professional learning design, and data-driven practices that support both teacher growth and student achievement. Tracey’s work is guided by a commitment to equity and the belief that all students deserve access to rigorous, joyful, and affirming learning experiences.

Her career began as an elementary teacher and evolved into leadership roles such as Instructional Leader, Academic Director, and Principal Resident. In these positions, she coached educators, led professional learning cycles, and implemented systems that directly improved student outcomes. She also holds New York State certification as a School Building Leader, equipping her with the leadership skills to drive instructional growth.

Tracey earned her B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University, an M.S. in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Brooklyn College. Outside of work, she enjoys making memories with her family while also pursuing her passion for creating community spaces and sharing resources that help children thrive.
