Teaching Matters is proud to be an official charity partner of the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon, taking place on Sunday, November 3, 2024. This 26.2 mile marathon is one of the most prestigious running events in the world, with the course winding through all five boroughs of New York City and finishing in iconic Central Park. Make your miles meaningful by running with Teaching Matters and ensure that all New York City public school students have equitable access to excellent education.
As a runner with Teaching Matters, you will receive:
- Guaranteed race entry for 2024 TCS New York City Marathon
- Option to enroll in complimentary marathon training plan through NYRR Coaching Lab
- A customized fundraising page
- One-on-one fundraising coaching and support from Teaching Matters staff
- Exclusive Teaching Matters running singlet and other swag
- Invitation to virtual kickoff meeting, with opportunity to meet Teaching Matters staff and other runners
- Invitation to attend a Teaching Matters school visit
- Opportunity to give the children of New York City a brighter future by supporting equitable education
As a runner with Teaching Matters, you agree to:
- Raise a minimum of $3,600 by October 30, 2024
- Register for the TCS New York City Marathon: $255 for NYRR members or $315 for non-members
Runners with their own marathon entry: If you have your own race entry for the New York City marathon, you are welcome to join the Teaching Matters team and commit to raising a minimum of $3,000. There is no additional registration fee for runners who have their own entry.
