Alec Rescigno is an Educational Consultant for Teaching Matters who specializes in literacy, leadership and middle childhood education. In this role, Alec supports schools in achieving their unique goals by utilizing his experience to offer creative solutions. Prior to joining Teaching Matters, Alec was a Teach for America Corps member and started his educational career working towards the founding of a charter school in the South Bronx. There, he split his time between literacy instruction and functioning as a grade team leader. In these capacities, Alec found great success in moving students to reach their literacy goals and created a team culture that supported all students.
Alec Rescigno is a proud graduate of Boston College and received his Masters Degree from Relay Graduate School of Education. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and rooting on the New York Knicks.
