Jessica Eddy is a Senior Educational Consultant for Teaching Matters. Born, raised, and having attended public schools in Brooklyn, NY, she first became passionate about closing the opportunity gap in education as a freshman in college. Over the past 12 years, Jessica has served hundreds of students, families, and fellow educators across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens as a Middle School Teaching Fellow, Elementary School Teacher, Dean of School Culture, DEI Coordinator, Academic Dean, Curriculum Fellow, and Founding Principal. Her recipe for driving breakthrough achievement among diverse student populations includes a commitment to racial equity, a foundation of strong family partnerships, an inclusive school and classroom environment, dynamic relationships, high quality staff development, and consistent data driven instruction and school wide practices. 

Jessica holds a B.A. in History with a concentration in Political Science from Columbia University, and an M.A.T. from Relay Graduate School of Education. She also obtained a Certificate of Completion with Honors from Relay’s National Principals Academy Fellowship.
